Sara conducts a number of Pilates classes each week including Pilates classes for children and teenagers. Sara enjoys treating the variety of people that private practice brings to her, with a special interest in sporting injuries. She is also interested in paediatrics and athletic performance.

PERSONAL INTERESTS:

In her spare time, Sara enjoys keeping fit and healthy by participating in Pilates sessions. She is also currently training for her first half marathon. Sara enjoys spending time at the beach over summer and going for brunch and coffee on the weekends with her husband Trav. CLINICAL EXPERIENCE:

Chris’ favourite areas of expertise are chronic lower back, neck pain and headaches, chronic pain management, shoulder and knee rehabilitation, Occupational and Industry Physiotherapy, and a sprinkling of sports physiotherapy just to round out his clinical load.

In the practice, Chris enjoys seeing a wide range of presentations and facilitating optimal recovery. The key is finding meaningful, realistic options and incorporating the patient in the decision-making process. Education is vital to ensuring a comprehensive resolution. In addition to clinical work Chris has enjoyed supervising both undergraduate and Masters physiotherapy students over the years.

PERSONAL INTERESTS:

Chris has previously been competitively involved in water polo, swimming, and Karate. Currently Chris is involved with Krav Maga (a martial art that consists of a combination of techniques including Boxing, Wrestling, Karate, Aikido and Judo.

Chris also enjoys hiking. Ask him about Tasmania sometime. He is a font of knowledge on the great outdoors and how to get amongst it.

Nick graduated from La Trobe University in 2010 and began working in private practice in Melbourne. In 2013, he moved to the UK and has spent four years working in various physiotherapy clinics in London. Nick recently returned home to Melbourne in 2017.

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE:

Nick has worked in private practice and outpatient department settings throughout Melbourne and London. He enjoys working with a variety of people and ages, from the sporty adolescent to the sedentary desk worker. His key strengths are focusing on patient education, eliminating pain and preventing it from reoccurring through the many different tools in his physiotherapy kit bag.

Nick is passionate about the importance of rehabilitation and uses clinical Pilates to help achieve full function and performance for all clients at mhealth.

Nick has worked with various sporting teams over the years. He has toured China for basketball (team coached by Andrew Gaze) and even worked with Buddy Franklin (AFL star) filming TV commercials.

PERSONAL INTERESTS:

Nick considers himself lucky to have travelled many countries in Europe and Asia for work and leisure.

He loves watching and playing sport, supporting Essendon in the AFL and West Ham United in the Premier League. He plays AFL for Old Brighton Grammarians, enjoys golf, gym, and social soccer, netball, basketball, cricket and everything else a red, blooded Australian bloke would like doing. He loves spending time with friends, seeing live music, going to new restaurants and spending time in the sun when he's not on a sporting field or working as a physiotherapist at mhealth.

Chloe has her Doctor of Physiotherapy from The University of Melbourne. She also has her Bachelor of Biomedicine.

Chloe loves sports treatment especially football, hockey and athletics. Her secret passion is gymnastics, having been a gymnast herself for 10 years. Chloe is from the country, enjoying the beaches and outdoors of South West Victoria. Chloe loves snowboarding and wakeboarding, as well as anything adventurous that gets the heart racing. She is also a keen baker, spending lots of time perfecting a cupcake or cookie.

Elaine graduated from the University of Limerick in Ireland in 2008 with an Honours Degree in Physiotherapy. Elaine is currently completing a Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy through the University of Queensland. She joined mhealth in 2013 where she has been able to develop and pursue her special interest in clinical Pilates.

Elaine’s clinical experience includes working in both hospital and private practice settings, as well as working closely with senior level rugby, soccer, athletic, Gaelic and hurling teams pitch-side and in clinic. She enjoys treating people from all walks of life from young to old, general population to elite athletes, educating them on their injury along with taking them through their rehabilitation to achieve full function and performance. Her special interests include pelvic girdle dysfunction, spinal pain and injury prevention. Elaine also teaches a large number of Pilates classes each week at mhealth including Pilates for children and teenagers.

PERSONAL INTERESTS:

Growing up, Elaine spent her days on the track, competing nationally and internationally representing Ireland at university level in both the 100m and Long Jump. Outside of the clinic, she plays soccer and enjoys running to keep fit, with the occasional half marathon thrown in for good measure. In winter, you will also find her taking her snowboard to the slopes whenever there’s an opportunity.

Michelle graduated from La Trobe University in Melbourne. In 2015, she was fortunate to have been able to combine her passion for both travel and physiotherapy at Veterans International Cambodia, working with mostly paediatric and adult patients.

Hannah is an enthusiastic and passionate lover of life. At heart she is a country girl from Tassie who loves nature and being out in it. She is an avid road cyclist and former junior triathlete who loves nothing more than the freedom to ride her bike in beautiful places in the best of company.

Her biggest personal achievement in recent years was a gruelingone day, 338 km ride (with 4,000 metres of vertical rise) in Tasmania. This ride raisedfunds for two charities close to her heart, Beyond Blue and the Amy Gillett Foundation.

She is an ambassador and blogger for La Ridley and founded the Rapha Women Adelaide Cycling Community. Look out Bayside Melbourne we have a great asset in our community – what will she tackle next?

Nick considers himself lucky to have travelled many countries in Europe and Asia for work and leisure.

He loves watching and playing sport, supporting Essendon in the AFL and West Ham United in the Premier League. He plays AFL for Old Brighton Grammarians, enjoys golf, gym, and social soccer, netball, basketball, cricket and everything else a red, blooded Australian bloke would like doing. Since finishing his Masters in Podiatry, Paddy has worked in both private and public settings. With the most recent being a two year stint as a Band 7 Podiatrist and MSK specialist in London, before taking on the position as Head Podiatrist at mhealth. Paddy loves working in a busy environment and thrives off the diverse and knowledgeable team setting present at mhealth.

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE:

Paddy’s areas of interest are sports medicine, biomechanics, pediatrics, custom orthotic therapy, heel pain & tendinopathy treatment, gait assessment and nail surgeries. He is passionate about helping people who are at high risk of developing chronic foot problems. Paddy specialises in tailor made successful treatment.

PERSONAL INTERESTS:

Outside of work, Paddy loves spending time with his family and socialising with friends. He loves to surf and to travel and he is an avid supporter of AFL, particularly The Western Bulldogs.

After working as Head Podiatrist at a Sports Medicine Clinic in Regional Victoria, Jon moved to Melbourne to further his career and take on the position as Director of Podiatry at mhealth in 2013. Jon loves working in such a large team environment where everyone can share knowledge and skills with one another and he has attended many Podiatry conferences nationally and internationally to expand his knowledge in the field.

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE:

Jon’s areas of interest are biomechanics, sports, and paediatrics. He has a particular interest in the running gait and the impact of athletic footwear on it. Jon utilises state of the art technology and the latest equipment in treating and addressing his clients’ problems with their feet. Working in a multidisciplinary clinic enables practitioners to directly learn from each other and this allows Jon to educate other practitioners on how foot posture and mechanics can directly impact biomechanics and posture elsewhere in the body.

PERSONAL INTERESTS:

Outside of work Jon enjoys sports, live music, and travelling overseas. Jon’s main sport has always been tennis and he even worked as a part time coach for 8 years. Jon’s most important activity though is socialising with friends, particularly over authentic cuisine and delicious beverages!

Monica brings her retail management and customer relations experience to her role as Receptionist. Monica’s bubbly and friendly personality will greet you as you walk in the door. Monica loves taking her british bulldog Maggie to the dog park and for walks.

Teri has joined mhealth as our full time practice manager. Teri brings with her a wealth of experience from roles such as Accounting, Finance, and Business Management across various industries. She has completed a Bachelor of Science, along with her CPA qualification. Teri loves spending time with her family, friends, and her extremely energetic Spoodle. She also enjoys playing table tennis and chess.

Anna is a Mentone local who enjoys working within the community she loves. Anna has a bachelor’s in English Literature and a master’s in human resource management. She has lived and worked in Tokyo and London and had a career in human resources prior to having her first child. Ana enjoys travelling, reading, good food and wine and most of all spending time with her young family.

Hannah has previously worked in childcare and both the hospitality and retail industries and with that she brings a friendly, bubbly and caring manner to the team.

Hannah enjoys spending her spare time with friends and family. She loves playing basketball and has done so with the same girls for 10 plus years. She is also a local, having lived in Parkdale her whole life and attended school locally at Kilbreda College.

Margot is part of mhealth’s reception staff who will meet and greet you as you walk in the door. Margot has grown up in the local Mentone area and loves the community feel that Mentone has to offer. Elaine graduated from the University of Limerick in Ireland in 2008 with an Honours Degree in Physiotherapy. Elaine is currently completing a Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy through the University of Queensland. She joined mhealth in 2013 where she has been able to develop and pursue her special interest in clinical Pilates.

Her special interests include pelvic girdle dysfunction, spinal pain and injury prevention. Elaine also teaches a large number of Pilates classes each week at mhealth including Pilates for children and teenagers.

PERSONAL INTERESTS:

Growing up, Elaine spent her days on the track, competing nationally and internationally representing Ireland at university level in both the 100m and Long Jump. Outside of the clinic, she plays soccer and enjoys running to keep fit, with the occasional half marathon thrown in for good measure. In winter, you will also find her taking her snowboard to the slopes whenever there’s an opportunity.

Nick graduated from La Trobe University in 2010 and began working in private practice in Melbourne. In 2013, he moved to the UK and has spent four years working in various physiotherapy clinics in London. Nick recently returned home to Melbourne in 2017.

Since finishing his Masters in Podiatry, Paddy has worked in both private and public settings. With the most recent being a two year stint as a Band 7 Podiatrist and MSK specialist in London, before taking on the position as Head Podiatrist at mhealth. Paddy loves working in a busy environment and thrives off the diverse and knowledgeable team setting present at mhealth.

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE:

Paddy’s areas of interest are sports medicine, biomechanics, pediatrics, custom orthotic therapy, heel pain & tendinopathy treatment, gait assessment and nail surgeries. He is passionate about helping people who are at high risk of developing chronic foot problems. Paddy specialises in tailor made successful treatment.

PERSONAL INTERESTS:

Outside of work, Paddy loves spending time with his family and socialising with friends. He loves to surf and to travel and he is an avid supporter of AFL, particularly The Western Bulldogs.

Teri has joined mhealth as our full time practice manager. Teri brings with her a wealth of experience from roles such as Accounting, Finance, and Business Management across various industries. She has completed a Bachelor of Science, along with her CPA qualification. Teri loves spending time with her family, friends, and her extremely energetic Spoodle. She also enjoys playing table tennis and chess.

MONICA HILLBRICK

RECEPTIONIST

Monica brings her retail management and customer relations experience to her role as Receptionist. Monica’s bubbly and friendly personality will greet you as you walk in the door. Monica loves taking her british bulldog Maggie to the dog park and for walks.

HANNAH ROBINSON

Hannah has previously worked in childcare and both the hospitality and retail industries and with that she brings a friendly, bubbly and caring manner to the team.

Hannah enjoys spending her spare time with friends and family. She loves playing basketball and has done so with the same girls for 10 plus years. She is also a local, having lived in Parkdale her whole life and attended school locally at Kilbreda College.

Roberta lives locally and has worked with mhealth for over 13 years. Her long relationship with patients ensures they receive warm and caring services. Roberta is also involved with Mentone RSL where she does home/hospital visits to our returned service men/women and their families. Roberta loves to travel and spend time with her grandchildren.

SIAHN BEACH

Receptionist

Siahn is bringing her love for people and health to her role as a Receptionist. She has been a client of mhealth for many years. She identifies with mhealth’s mission and greater vision of health and wellness.

Siahn is also a tutor and spends her time helping kids of all ages with both school work and learning to swim. She has lived in bayside her whole life and spends any spare time swimming, going to the drive in movies or by the beach. Siahn considers herself a “foodie”.

Mick is one of Australia’s most experienced sports/remedial massage therapists and naturopaths with over 18 years of clinical experience. Mick holds an Applied Science degree as well as a graduate diploma from Monash University. His sporting background led him to study massage at the Australian College of Natural Medicine where he completed a diploma in massage therapy. He then continued his studies at the Southern School of Natural Therapies with a diploma in sports & remedial massage. Mick went on to study 4 years of naturopathy at the Australian College of Natural Medicine and was the proud recipient of the college’s “Outstanding Naturopath” award.

Nev graduated from Endeavour College of Natural Health with a Bachelor of Health Science (Musculoskeletal Therapy), qualifying as a Clinical Myotherapist. Nev believes commitment to a well structured treatment and rehabilitation exercise plan is key to achieving successful outcomes.

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE:

Professionally, Nev has worked at an elite sport level as myotherapist for Carlton FC (AFL) and then recently joining the NRL team Melbourne Storm. In clinic, Nev focuses on understanding the causes behind pain/dysfunction and will utilise a variety of assessment techniques to determine the best course of treatment. He understands that each individual has a different set of biomechanics and will often look to other areas of the body to address pain. He loves to educate his clients in order to facilitate the recovery process.

PERSONAL INTERESTS:

LAURENNE DI SALVO

Laurenne brings a combination of formal training and practical experience to the coaching relationship. Laurenne entered coaching with a passion for wellness, personal growth and a desire to make a difference in people’s lives.
