How well do you truly know the strength of your body? Have you ever considered that your everyday routine might be putting undue strain on different parts of your body? Whether you’re an avid athlete, a dedicated office worker, or simply someone navigating daily life, understanding your whole body’’s strength can be a game-changer.

Unfortunately, with the rise of sedentary lifestyles and ergonomic neglect, more individuals are experiencing  pain and discomfort than ever before. In this landscape of growing awareness, the AxIt Assessment emerges as a cutting-edge tool designed to evaluate your whole body’s strength and provide insights into improving it.

Understanding the condition of your body goes beyond simple self-reflection; it requires a comprehensive evaluation that can highlight weaknesses and guide you towards effective strategies for improvement. The AxIt Assessment offers a unique approach to strength and health, allowing you to identify areas for enhancement and set actionable goals.

What is the AxIt assessment?

The AxIT Assessment is a comprehensive system used to measure and track an individual’s strength and stability. It utilises force plate and dynamometer technology to capture data on how much force the body generates during various movements. This data can then be used to identify imbalances, track progress, and tailor exercises to individual needs.

Whether it is a shoulder, a hip, a knee or any other body part we can measure strength. You might want to measure how good your balance is or whether your legs develop power evenly when you jump and land. There’s so many things we can measure with the AxIT system at mhealth. And when you can measure it, you can manage it!

Key components of the AxIT assessment

1. Hardware

The AxIT system consists of three main components:

  • Stomp-IT: Measures force and power output during jumping, landing and running / walking.
  • Push-IT: Measures force and power output during pushing movements like push-ups and bench presses.
  • Pull-IT: Measures force and power output during pulling movements like rows, pull-ups, hamstring activation, shoulder internal and external rotation and so much more.

2. Software

The AxIT software analyses the data collected by the hardware and provides a detailed report on the individual’s performance. This report includes information on:

  • Strength: How much force the individual can generate.
  • Power: How quickly the individual can generate force.
  • Balance: How well the individual can control their movements.
  • Symmetry: How balanced the individual’s strength and power are between their left and right sides.

Benefits of the AxIT assessment for body strength

1. Objective measurement

The AxIT system provides objective data on muscle strength and movement, eliminating guesswork and subjective assessments.

2. Identifying strength and movement limitations

  • Pinpointing weaknesses: The AxIT system can identify specific muscle groups in your back that may be weaker than others.
  • Detecting imbalances: It can reveal imbalances between the left and right sides of your body, which can contribute to pain and injury.
  • Assessing movement patterns: The system can analyse your movement patterns during exercises like rows, pull-ups, and deadlifts to identify any compensations or inefficiencies that might be affecting your body strength.

3. Tailoring exercise programs

  • Personalised plans: Based on the assessment results, a qualified professional can create a customised exercise program to target your specific needs and help you improve your back strength.
  • Progressive overload: The system can help track your progress over time, allowing you to gradually increase the intensity of your workouts to continue challenging your muscles and promoting growth.

4. Preventing injuries

  • Identifying risk factors: The AxIT assessment can help identify potential risk factors for back injuries, such as muscle imbalances or poor movement patterns.
  • Correcting technique: By analysing your movement, a professional can provide feedback and guidance to help you improve your technique and reduce your risk of injury.

5. Improved performance

By optimising training and addressing imbalances, the AxIT assessment can help individuals improve their athletic performance.

6. Monitoring progress

  • Tracking improvements: The AxIT system allows you to track your progress over time, both in terms of strength gains and improvements in movement quality.
  • Making adjustments: If you’re not seeing the desired progress, the system can help identify areas where you may need to make adjustments to your training program.
