Sara graduated from La Trobe University in 2010 and joined mhealth in January of 2011. Over the years, Sara has developed a keen interest in clinical Pilates and she is passionate about using it for rehabilitation, general health and fitness.

Sara conducts a number of Pilates classes each week including Pilates classes for children and teenagers. Sara enjoys treating the variety of people that private practice brings to her, with a special interest in sporting injuries. She is also interested in paediatrics and athletic performance.

In her spare time, Sara enjoys keeping fit and healthy by participating in Pilates sessions. She is also currently training for her first half marathon. CLINICAL EXPERIENCE:

Alannah’s women’s health expertise includes the treatment of incontinence, pelvic floor muscle training, pre-and-post pregnancy, and physio for the lactating population. She also enjoys post-operative rehabilitation specifically ACL, ankle, and joint replacements, and getting people moving again with Physio RPM classes.

PERSONAL INTERESTS:

In her spare time, Alannah enjoys spending time outdoors and socialising with friends, family (including her two twin nephews), and her partner. She enjoys eating healthy (although doesn’t mind the occasional burger!) and loves finding yummy new recipes to cook.

Chris is a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, having graduated from Monash University in 2010, and completing his Masters of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from LaTrobe University in 2015.

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE:

Chris’ favourite areas of expertise are chronic lower back, neck pain and headaches, chronic pain management, shoulder and knee rehabilitation, Occupational and Industry Physiotherapy, and a sprinkling of sports physiotherapy just to round out his clinical load.

In the practice, Chris enjoys seeing a wide range of presentations and facilitating optimal recovery. The key is finding meaningful, realistic options and incorporating the patient in the decision-making process. Education is vital to ensuring a comprehensive resolution. In addition to clinical work Chris has enjoyed supervising both undergraduate and Masters physiotherapy students over the years.

Nick graduated from La Trobe University in 2010 and began working in private practice in Melbourne. In 2013, he moved to the UK and spent four years working in various physiotherapy clinics in London. Nick returned home to Melbourne in 2016 and has enjoyed working at mhealth since.

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE:

Nick has worked in private practice and outpatient department settings throughout Melbourne and London. He enjoys working with a variety of people and ages, from the sporty adolescent to the sedentary desk worker. His key strengths are focusing on patient education, eliminating pain and preventing it from reoccurring through the many different tools in his physiotherapy kit bag.

Nick is passionate about the importance of rehabilitation and uses clinical Pilates to help achieve full function and performance for all clients at mhealth.

Nick has worked with various sporting teams over the years. He has toured China as physiotherapist for a basketball team coached by Andrew Gaze and even worked with AFL star Buddy Franklin.

PERSONAL INTERESTS:

Nick considers himself lucky to have travelled many countries in Europe and Asia for work and leisure.

He loves watching and playing sport, supporting Essendon in the AFL and West Ham United in the Premier League. He retired from playing AFL for Old Brighton Grammarians, but continues to keep active through golf, gym, and even beach volleyball. He also practices what he preaches and does regular Clinical Pilates. He loves spending time with friends, seeing live music, going to new restaurants and spending time in the sun when he's not on a sporting field or working as a physiotherapist at mhealth.

Chloe has her Doctor of Physiotherapy from The University of Melbourne. She also has her Bachelor of Biomedicine.

Chloe loves sports treatment especially football, hockey and athletics. Her secret passion is gymnastics, having been a gymnast herself for 10 years. She has had multiple injuries and surgeries giving her first hand experience of the road to recovery. Chloe is committed to getting people back to doing the things they love.

PERSONAL INTERESTS:

Chloe is from the country, enjoying the beaches and outdoors of South West Victoria. Chloe loves snowboarding and wakeboarding, as well as anything adventurous that gets the heart racing. She is also a keen baker, spending lots of time perfecting a cupcake or cookie.

Elaine graduated from the University of Limerick in Ireland in 2008 with an Honours Degree in Physiotherapy. Elaine is currently completing a Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy through the University of Queensland. She joined mhealth in 2013 where she has been able to develop and pursue her special interest in clinical Pilates.

Elaine’s clinical experience includes working in both hospital and private practice settings, as well as working closely with senior level rugby, soccer, athletic, Gaelic and hurling teams pitch-side and in clinic. She enjoys treating people from all walks of life from young to old, general population to elite athletes, educating them on their injury along with taking them through their rehabilitation to achieve full function and performance. Her special interests include pelvic girdle dysfunction, spinal pain and injury prevention. Elaine also teaches a large number of Pilates classes each week at mhealth including Pilates for children and teenagers.

PERSONAL INTERESTS:

Growing up, Elaine spent her days on the track, competing nationally and internationally representing Ireland at university level in both the 100m and Long Jump. Outside of the clinic, she plays soccer and enjoys running to keep fit, with the occasional half marathon thrown in for good measure. In winter, you will also find her taking her snowboard to the slopes whenever there’s an opportunity.

Michelle graduated from La Trobe University in Melbourne. In 2015, she was fortunate to have been able to combine her passion for both travel and physiotherapy at Veterans International Cambodia, working with mostly paediatric and adult patients.

Michayla relocated to Melbourne from Sydney where she also worked in a busy private practice. She has hospital and sports experience and enjoys treating people from all walks of life. Michayla enjoys keeping fit by going to the gym and running. She is looking forward to the women’s 2017 AFL season. Some Sydney siders realise how best to immerse themselves in Melbourne culture. Michayla also loves travelling, going to the beach in summer and snowboarding in winter.

Ashleigh is a La Trobe University trained Physio. She has a Bachelor of Health Sciences and Masters of Physiotherapy Practice. Ashleigh has a passion for Women’s Health and brings that with her to mhealth.

Ashleigh has extensive experience across a number of health sectors including acute hospital, private practice and Women’s Health. Ashleigh also loves treating a wide variety of sporting injuries and musculoskeletal conditions. Ashleigh herself has had her fair share of injuries, coming from a competitive sporting background. This gives Ashleigh great insight into injury management from a physical and mental perspective, and drives her passion for getting people back to living their best lives.

Ashleigh promotes healthy lifestyle and holistic wellbeing. She is a self-proclaimed foodie and she’s always on the lookout for new cafes. She loves spending time at the gym too.

Emma is originally from Auckland, New Zealand. This is where she completed her Physiotherapy studies and worked for two years in Private Practice before jumping the ditch to Melbourne. Emma has been in Melbourne for nearly two years now and appreciates all that Melbourne has to offer.

Kathryn is a well rounded clinician with an interest in sports and spinal treatment as well as the management of prolonged or persistent pain (chronic pain).

Kathryn enjoys working alongside athletes, particularly gymnasts as she spent 10 years competing in trampolining at a national level.

Kathryn has an invested interest in the management of prolonged and persistent pain. She loves using her skillsets to improve long term function, movement and quality of life for her clients.

PERSONAL INTERESTS:

Kathryn represented her state and country in trampolining. Her passion for physiotherapy came from her frequent visits to the allied health tent at competitions as an athlete. Now Kathryn spends the majority of her time in the grandstand as a strong shinboner for the North Melbourne Football Club.

Jarrod is a senior clinician who has extensive experience in Sports and General Practice Physiotherapy. After a decade on the move for work and travel he has returned home to the Bayside area. Jarrod is a competitive Pennant tennis player, avid mountain biker, social golfer and enjoys watching the Essendon FC win games of football. He enjoys treating all injuries from head to toe and has a particular interest in shoulder, neck, knee and ankle rehabilitation.

Liam likes to consider himself a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to wine and tastes of the world. However, he equally enjoys getting away and camping with his partner in costal locations. His choice of sport is basketball, and has played in the SEABL league, however now just taking pleasure in the local social games.

Sara graduated from La Trobe University in 2010 and joined mhealth in January of 2011. Sara completed her APPI Pilates qualification in 2011 and is passionate about using Pilates for rehabilitation and for general health and fitness.

Nick has worked in private practice and outpatient department settings throughout Melbourne and London. He enjoys working with a variety of people and ages, from the sporty adolescent to the sedentary desk worker. His key strengths are focusing on patient education, eliminating pain and preventing it from reoccurring through the many different tools in his physiotherapy kit bag.

Nick is passionate about the importance of rehabilitation and uses clinical Pilates to help achieve full function and performance for all clients at mhealth.

Nick has worked with various sporting teams over the years. He has toured China as physiotherapist for a basketball team coached by Andrew Gaze and even worked with AFL star Buddy Franklin.

PERSONAL INTERESTS:

Nick considers himself lucky to have travelled many countries in Europe and Asia for work and leisure.

He loves watching and playing sport, supporting Essendon in the AFL and West Ham United in the Premier League. He retired from playing AFL for Old Brighton Grammarians, but continues to keep active through golf, gym, and even beach volleyball. He also practices what he preaches and does regular Clinical Pilates. He loves spending time with friends, seeing live music, going to new restaurants and spending time in the sun when he's not on a sporting field or working as a physiotherapist at mhealth.

Liam completed his Masters of Physiotherapy Flinders University in South Australia. He has also completed a Bachelor of Health Science (Principles of Physiotherapy).

Liam likes to consider himself a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to wine and tastes of the world. However, he equally enjoys getting away and camping with his partner in costal locations. His choice of sport is basketball, and has played in the SEABL league, however now just taking pleasure in the local social games.

Emma is originally from Auckland, New Zealand. This is where she completed her Physiotherapy studies and worked for two years in Private Practice before jumping the ditch to Melbourne. Emma has been in Melbourne for nearly two years now and appreciates all that Melbourne has to offer.

Jarrod is a senior clinician who has extensive experience in Sports and General Practice Physiotherapy. After a decade on the move for work and travel he has returned home to the Bayside area. Bettina has a BSc Podiatric Medicine from The University of Plymouth and Biomedical Sciences from The University of Manchester in the UK. She has worked both in private practice and in the NHS in London. She moved to Australia in late 2016 and now works for mhealth.

Teri has joined mhealth as our full time practice manager. Teri brings with her a wealth of experience from roles such as Accounting, Finance, and Business Management across various industries. She has completed a Bachelor of Science, along with her CPA qualification. Teri loves spending time with her family, friends, and her extremely energetic Spoodle. She also enjoys playing table tennis and chess.

Anna is a Mentone local who enjoys working within the community she loves. Anna has a bachelor’s in English Literature and a master’s in human resource management. She has lived and worked in Tokyo and London and had a career in human resources prior to having her first child. Ana enjoys travelling, reading, good food and wine and most of all spending time with her young family.

Bettina has a BSc Podiatric Medicine from The University of Plymouth and Biomedical Sciences from The University of Manchester in the UK. She has worked both in private practice and in the NHS in London. She moved to Australia in late 2016 and now works for mhealth.

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE:

Bettina has worked in private clinics , hospitals and on community settings. She has experience in sports podiatry, biomechanics, diabetes assessment, gait analysis, orthotic therapy, paediatrics, heel pain and other tendinopathies; nail surgery, nail reconstruction, laser treatment for fungal nails, shockwave therapy, massage therapy on calves, general podiatry treatment (treatment of ingrown toe nails, verrucaes/warts, corns, calluses/hard skin), and wound care management for high risk patients.

This led her to change her career from one in office management to one in allied health. Larissa holds a degree in Nutritional Medicine from the Southern School of Natural Therapies.
