mstrong Strength Classes
Physiotherapist-led strength training, built around you
mstrong is a small group strength and conditioning program run by physiotherapists. Every participant follows an individualised program based on their history, goals and physical capacity. It’s not a generic fitness class. It’s clinically guided, progressive strength training with a maximum of five people per session.

Book your initial assessment and take the first step toward building strength, improving confidence, and moving better — all under expert physiotherapist supervision.
What is mstrong?
Most group exercise programs ask everyone to do the same thing at the same time. mstrong works differently.
The program begins with a thorough one-on-one assessment with a physiotherapist, who takes a detailed history, assesses your movement and strength, sets your goals and introduces the exercises that will form the foundation of your program.
When you transition into the group classes, you’re not following a shared routine. You’re working through your own personalised program, with a physiotherapist there to coach your technique, adjust your load and progress your exercises based on how you’re responding.
A helpful way to think of it: it’s like having a physiotherapist as your personal trainer, in a small group environment that keeps you motivated and consistent.
How mstrong works
There’s a clear pathway from your first appointment through to long-term strength training. Here’s what to expect.
Book your initial 1:1 assessment
You’ll start with two to three one-on-one sessions with a physiotherapist. We recommend booking 45-minute appointments to allow time for a thorough assessment and setup. Your physio takes a detailed history, assesses your movement and baseline strength, sets your goals and coaches you through the key exercises that will underpin your program.
Your personalised program is built
Before you move into group classes, you’ll have a clear, individualised program in place. You’ll understand your exercises, have the technique to perform them safely, and your physio will have confirmed the program is ready for a group environment. There are no other prerequisites.
Join the small group classes
mStrong classes run for 45 minutes in groups of no more than five. Every participant follows their own program. Your physiotherapist supervises each session, coaches technique, monitors how you’re responding and progresses your exercises when you’re ready.
Continue progressing
Your program doesn’t stay the same. It’s reviewed and adjusted within the class setting as you improve. If you need a more detailed review or program update at any point, you can return for additional one-on-one sessions. The structure takes you from first assessment through to long-term strength and independence.
Who is mstrong for?
mStrong suits people at a range of stages, with a range of goals. The program works well for anyone recovering from an injury or surgery, managing a chronic condition, wanting to build strength as they age, or looking to train with professional oversight.
- People recovering from injury or surgery
- Those managing conditions such as osteoarthritis, osteoporosis or balance difficulties
- Individuals who want structured, progressive strength training with clinical guidance
- Older adults working to maintain independence and reduce their risk of falls
- Active adults and athletes who want to continue training under physiotherapy supervision
GLAD, Osteoporosis and Falls & Balance programs
For people managing specific conditions, a generic exercise class often falls short. You need a program that understands your diagnosis, adjusts to your capacity and keeps progressing as you improve.
At mhealth, we don’t run GLAD, osteoporosis or falls and balance as separate standalone classes. These programs are delivered within mstrong. Your physiotherapist structures your individualised program around the evidence-based principles relevant to your condition, then continues progressing your training well beyond the timeframe of a standard group program.

GLAD — Osteoarthritis Management
The Good Living with osteoArthritis in Denmark (GLAD) program is an evidence-based approach for people managing knee or hip osteoarthritis. Within mstrong, your physiotherapist structures exercises to address joint loading, pain management and function specific to osteoarthritis. You follow the same clinical principles — with the added benefit of ongoing, long-term progression

Osteoporosis Program
For people with low bone density or osteoporosis, weight-bearing and resistance exercises are central to maintaining and improving bone health. Your mstrong program is built around evidence-based bone loading principles, with exercise type and load adjusted to match your bone health status and overall capacity.

Falls & Balance
Falls prevention training focuses on building leg strength, improving balance and developing confidence in movement. These goals are directly addressed within mstrong through targeted exercise selection and careful progression. Your physiotherapist adjusts the program based on where your balance and strength are now, and builds from there.
The advantage of accessing these programs through mstrong is continuity. Once your condition-specific goals are achieved, your program evolves — into ongoing strength and conditioning work that reduces your risk of decline or recurrence.
Why choose mstrong at mhealth?
- mstrong is designed to fill the gap between standard group fitness and individual physiotherapy — offering clinical expertise, personalised programming and long-term progression in one place.
- Physiotherapist-led at every session. All sessions are run by physiotherapists — not personal trainers or exercise physiologists. There's clinical reasoning behind every program and progression.
- Genuinely individualised. A maximum of five people per class, each following their own program. You're not doing the same exercises as the person next to you.
- Private health rebates may apply. Both the initial 1:1 sessions and the ongoing group classes are conducted by physiotherapists, so you may be eligible for rebates with appropriate extras cover.
- Your current class pack works here. Existing Clinical Pilates class packs can be used for mstrong classes — they're priced the same.
- A clear pathway forward. From initial assessment through to long-term strength training, mstrong is designed to keep you progressing well beyond the point where most programs stop.
